FORMER BLAIR MAN DIES IN OMAHA

Funeral services for Joseph R. (Joe) Steyskal, of 4401 So. 90th Street, Omaha, are today, February 7, at 9:45 a.m. at Larkin Chapel and then to St. Gerald’s Church in Ralston at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Steyskal died February 4, 1980 at the age of 55.

Joseph R. Steyskal lived about 2 miles north of Blair for many years. While in the Blair area, he was involved with the cattle market. His children attended Cuming City School.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Coniglio, Mrs. Fred (Nancy) Godinez, Mrs. James (Joyce) Karnik, Mrs. James (Kristine) Matvia; and a son, Joey, all of Omaha. His mother, Mrs. Helen B. Steyskal, Omaha; four sisters, Josephine Yasen, Ralston; Mrs. John (Viola) Sloma, Omaha; Lucille Shaver, Glendale, California; Clara Krajicek, Dunlap, Iowa; one brother, Stanley, Syracuse, Nebraska; and 15 grandchildren also survive him.

Larkin Funeral Home, 24th and J Street is in charge of arrangements for the services.
