Janice M. Cochran, 72, of Blair, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30a.m. Wednesday, Aug 29, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair.

Janice M. Peterson was born March 15, 1935, on the family farm near Mondamin, Iowa, to William and Gladys (McIntosh) Peterson.

She attended Mondamin Public School.

In 1949, she married William Block. He preceded her in death in 1963. On June 3, 1967, she married Tom Cochran.

Mrs. Cochran had lived in Modale, Iowa, as well as Seward, York, Columbus and Blair.

She had talents for flower arranging, crafts and refinishing furniture. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters and sons-in-law, Romona and Dale Cotner of York, Jody and Lonnie Penry, Pam and Mike Cushman, and Tanya and Eric Sieh of Blair; and son Monte Block of Boseman, Mont; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Peterson and Jim Peterson.

Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
