Mary Catherine Coe, 74, of Fort Calhoun, died Sunday, May 16, 1999, in Blair.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fr. James Schwertley will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 18, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. A Rosary Service will be at 7 p.m. at John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Coe was born Aug. 23, 1924, to Alfred Nicholas Gloden and Ellen Easter Elliot in Omaha.

She attended Omaha Technical High.

On Dec. 21, 1942, she married Dean Coe and worked domestically as a wife and mother.

She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and was a member of John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun.

She is survived by her husband Dean of Fort Calhoun; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Marie Coe, Lake Havasu, Ariz., Marvin (Skip) Coe of Omaha, Michael Coe of Omaha, Richard Coe of Council Bluffs, and Bill and Gayle Coe of Euless, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Jensen of Omaha, Susan and Patrick Kieny of Gilbert Ariz., and Jeanette Coe of Blair; daughter-in-law, Judy Coe of Omaha; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Nicholas Coe.

Memorials are suggested to John the Baptist Catholic Church’s Kitchen Fund.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
