MAX COFFEY DIED SUDDENLY LATE TUESDAY

Max Coffey, a well known Blair man, died suddenly at his home late Tuesday evening. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He was a retired editorial writer of the Omaha World Herald and was active in a number of civic affairs in Blair. He had been a member of the Blair Board of Public Works for a number of years.

He was born at Garrison Iowa, November 27, 1902.

He is survived by his wife, Dora, and by three sons and three daughters.

The sons are Dr. James Coffey, Fargo, N.D.; Robert Coffey, Brookfield, Wisc.; and Richard Coffey of Gaithersburg, Virginia. The daughters are Mrs. Eugene (Kathleen) Flynn, of Blair; Mrs. Jack (Jean) Gay of Frisco, Colorado; and Mrs. John (Joan) Tarrell, of Kearney, Nebraska.

There are also five sisters and three brothers surviving.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at Campbell Mortuary. Dr. C. C. Madsen will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
