ROSE STIREK, 86

Rose Stirek, 86, of Blair died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006 at Crowell Memorial Home.

Private family services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Rose Zavorka was born Jan. 26, 1920 in Bee to Frank and Apolena (Pavlica) Zavorka. She lived in the Omaha area all her life.

She was united in marriage to Stanley Stirek on May 8, 1943.

Mrs. Stirek had a beauty shop in her home and worked alongside her husband on the farm.

One of their favorite things was going to polka dances.

She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Ft. Calhoun.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Larry Suverkrubbe of Morgan Hill, Calif.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Fred and Lynn Stirek of Blair and Dave Stirek of Mission, S.D.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rosary 7pm Monday at Funeral Home. Private family services on Tuesday. VISITATION starting 12 pm Monday. Memorials in lieu of flowers.
