PAUL STODDARD, 68

Paul Stoddard, 68, of Blair died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.

Paul Stoddard served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, and was honorably discharged in 1964 as an aviation electrician’s mate.

Formerly of Tonawanda, N. Y., he was transferred to Blair in 1976 with Western Electric, and retired from the company, now called Lucent Technologies. Mr. and Mrs. Stoddard have considered Blair their home. He will be remembered for his love of his family and his animals. His generous and playful nature will be sorely missed among his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Stoddard; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Maria Stoddard of Atlanta, Ga.; Bryce Stoddard of Blair; and Robert and Josey Stoddard of Oakland; four granddaughters and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Stoddard.
