Funeral services for Frieda Ohrt, age 78 of Blair, who died February 9, 1990 at her home, were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 12 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. J. David Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Frieda C. Ohrt was born on April 16, 1911 at Arlington, Nebraska to Carsten and Martha Thomsen Carstensen. She attended school in Dale and Bennington, Nebraska.

On March 8, 1933, she married Harry Ohrt in Bennington. They farmed south of Kennard from 1948 until 1959 at which time they moved to Blair.

Frieda was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Heritage Club.

Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1985, and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Marcia Carlson of Fremont, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Marcy Luschen and Ronald Ericksen of Fremont and Steven Luschen, Lincoln, Nebraska; two great-grandchildren, Julian Ericksen and Trevor Fitch. She is also survived by one brother, Raymond Carstensen, Fremont, Nebraska and four sisters, Ann Ruff and Irene Cadwallader, both Gretna, Nebraska; Margaret Jessen, Grand Island, Nebraska and Helen Ballard of Birmingham, Alabama.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
