Casper Knutson

At about noon last Saturday, Casper, the nine year old son of Mrs. M. Knutson was accidently killed by the falling of a window at F.L. Hewitt’s barn. The little fellow was looking in the window to see the horses when he accidentally knocked out the stick that was holding the window sash up. It fell on the back of his neck and death must have been almost instantaneous. Florence Hewitt saw him hanging there and notified her mother who carried him down home in her arms. Mrs. Knutson was down at Germania Hall taking dinner at the hospital fair when the accident occurred, and it was a sad home coming for her to find her little son already cold in death. The funeral was held at the home at three o’clock Monday afternoon, Rev. Coventry officiating. The entire community extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
