Carl Julius Koenig

The body of Carl Julius Koenig was found at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koenig, north of Blair last Thursday evening. An inquest was held on Saturday morning and the coroner’s jury decided that Koenig had been accidentally killed by a discharge from a loaded shotgun which he was taking down from a hanger on the floor joist in a granary on the farm. The deceased was born April 5, 1908, on the home place six miles north of Blair and he received his education in the Pleasant View schools. For the past few years he had been assisting his father in his farming pursuits. Funeral services were conducted from the family home last Saturday afternoon with Rev. Carl G. Bader in charge, after which interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Special music for the occasion was furnished by Mrs. E. J. Hancock and Mrs. W.V. Wright. Surviving him are his bereaved parents, eight sisters and two brothers. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

CARL JULIUS KOENIG

Carl Julius Koenig was born at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Koenig six miles north of Blair April 5, 1908, and met his death by accident on April 24, 1930 at the age of 22 years and 19 days.

He received his education at the Pleasant View school. After that he worked the home farm with his father.

Carl was always a kind and loving son and brother. He will be missed and his memory cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, eight sisters and two brothers. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

The funeral service was held at the home Saturday, April 26th, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Carl Bader, and music was rendered by Mrs. E. J. Hancock and Mrs. W. V. Wright. Interment was at the Blair cemetery.
