Caroline Koenig Died Early Tuesday

Mrs. Caroline Koenig, 1951 Grant Street died at Memorial Community Hospital early Tuesday, August 16th. She was 90 years old.

By coincidence, Mrs. Koenig’s death came exactly 20 years after the death of her husband, Charles Koenig. He died on the same date, August 16, in 1946.

Mrs. Koenig was born at Ft. Calhoun October 6, 1876 and lived her entire life in the Washington county area.

She is survived by two sons and seven daughters. The sons are Walter Koenig, of Blair and John Koenig, of Boston Massachusetts.

The daughters are: Mrs. William Paustain (Caroline) of Bloomfield, Nebr.; Mrs. Lars Weber (Emma) of Tekamah; Miss Edith Koenig, of Omaha; Mrs. Hilda Specht, of Blair; Mrs. Chester Davis (Frieda) of San Diego, California; Mrs. Henry Coch (Marie), of Gretna, Nebraska; Miss Laura Koenig, of Hot Springs, South Dakota; and Mrs. Donald Julian (Margaret) of San Leandro, California.

There are nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, August 19th at the Bendorf Funeral Home with burial in the Blair cemetery. The time of services was pending as The Enterprise went to press.
