Services for Ingery Marie Koenig, 96 who died at Ruthven Care Center November 9, 1995 were Saturday, November 11 at Warner Chapel in Spencer, Iowa. Rev. Don Burket officiated. Burial was in North Lawn Memorial Park at Spencer.

Ingery Marie Koenig was born November 24, 1898 in Blair to Nels and Marie Jensen. Her childhood years were spent in Blair, where she received her early education at Long Creek country school.

Following her schooling, she did household work for a family in Omaha.

She married William Paul Koenig March 3, 1926 in Blair. Following their marriage they moved to a farm south of Blair.

In 1943 they moved to Gillett Grove, Iowa where they farmed until retiring in 1957.

She was a member of the Gillett Grove United Methodist Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also active in the Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Paul Koenig on June 30, 1989; two brothers, Jimmy and Clarence and three sisters, Margaret, Hilga and Sena.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, George and Darlene Koenig of Gillett Grove; William and Joan of Columbia, Missouri and Gerald and Janet of Carthage, Missouri; 19 grand-children; several great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Casketbearers were Verle Gustoff, Tom Gibson, Pat Gibson, William Myers, Jim Mills and Joe Hamrick.
