James E. Kofoed, 51

James E. Kofoed, 51, of Omaha, died Nov. 1, 2007, as the result of a house fire at his residence in Omaha.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Bethany Funeral Home, 82nd and Harrison streets. Interment will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery.

James Edward Kofoed was born June 11, 1956, in Omaha to Howard A. and Betty (Motz) Kofoed. He attended high school, and was employed as a bindery worker.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Nelson) Kofoed; sons and daughter-in-law, James of Omaha, and Jerrimeh and Brandi of Charter Oak, Iowa; daughter, Jennifer, of Omaha; two grandchildren; father and stepmother, Howard and Kathy Kofoed of Kennard; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Joe Goebel of Herman; nephew and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Francis Kofoed.
