Funeral services for Roscoe Clayton Anderson will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will follow services in the Kennard Cemetery with honors provided by the Arlington VFW Honor Guard. Roscoe died May 12, 2015, at Carter Place in Blair.

Roscoe was born on the family farm southeast of Kennard. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He married Helen K. Roberts on April 27, 1938. They were blessed with three sons. Roscoe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Roscoe worked with Kelly Ryan and Merchants Biscuit. He was active in Emmaus Lutheran Church, the Kennard Fire Dept., Masons and VFW Arlington. Roscoe loved to play music and was involved with square dancing, musicals, weddings and much more for over 50 years. He is now part of our heavenly choir and band. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with the family.

He is survived by sons William (Bill) and Jerry L. Anderson and daughter-in-law Joyce E. (Klug).

Roscoe was preceded in death by wife Helen, son Robert, father and mother, two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, the Kennard Fire Dept. and Carter Place.
