CARLETTA STOLL, 72

Carletta Stoll, 72, of Fremont, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. A private committal service was held at Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery. There is no visitation.

Carletta Kincanon was born Nov. 4, 1933 in Fremont to Orville Lee and Bertha (Duhigg) Kincanon. She was raised in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School.

She married Donald Brown in 1951 and the couple lived in Arlington. They moved to Minnesota, where they farmed for five years, then returned to Arlington where she worked as a teacher’s aide in the Arlington school district.

In 1981, she moved to Fremont and on Oct. 28, 1982, she married Joseph W. Stoll in Wahoo. She was employed by the Fremont Public School District as an attendance clerk and most recently, in the secretarial department.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fremont; the United Methodist Women; and the Altar Guild. She was formerly a member of the Arlington Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, where she held various offices. She was an active member of the Country Kickers Line Dance Group of Omaha, and baked cookies and prepared meals for the Care Corps. She was a former 4-H leader and Cub Scout den mother.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; sons and daughter-in-law, William and Patty Brown of Lincoln; and Bruce Brown and special friend, Beth Jensen of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Steve Hurless of Lincoln; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Matthew Stoll of Mechanicsburg, Penn.; and Peter and Shirley Stoll of Hooper; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Linda Kincanon of Fremont; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Sinnett of Fremont and Beverly and Lawrence Booze of North Bend; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Kincanon; and one sister, Darleane Miller.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Fremont or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
