Lizzie Bell Ferguson, age 98, of Tekamah and formerly of Decatur, died Sunday, May 21, 1989, at the Logan Valley Manor Care Center in Lyons, Nebraska, where she had been a resident for the past three months.

Lizzie was born on March 18, 1891, at Jewell, Iowa, to George and Margaret (Rocker) Fuller. She married Robert E. Ferguson March 20, 1909, at Decatur, Nebraska. Lizzie lived most of her life in the Decatur area until moving to Tekamah in the mid-1970’s.

Survivors include one son, Alfred (“Short”) Ferguson of Herman; two daughters; Bernice Crom of Walthill and Della Nelson of Loveland, Colorado; seven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

Funeral services were May 24 at the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah with Elder Ed Rieger officiating. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Decatur.
