ALICE M. STORK, 92

Alice M. Stork, 92 of Arlington, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. The Rev. Rick G. Kanoy and the Rev. Rodney Meske will officiate. Interment will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Alice M. Stork was born Nov. 20, 1908 in rural Hooper to Herman and Fredericka (Meier) Brandert. She grew up on a farm east of Hooper.

On Sept. 22, 1940, she married Raymond F. Stork at Winslow. Following her marriage, the couple lived on a farm east of Winslow. In 1948, they moved to a farm northwest of Arlington, where they lived until moving into Arlington in 1966. Mrs. Stork has been residing at Arbor Manor in Fremont since 1991.

Mrs. Stork was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Judy Stork of Arlington and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, and three brothers, Clayton, Harold and Clarence Brandert.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Minnie Stork, the daughter of Herman and Fredericka (Meier) Brandert, was born November 20, 1908 at rural Hooper, Nebraska. She grew up on a farm east of Hooper and attended Immanuel Lutheran School. She married Raymond F. Stork on September 22, 1940 at Winslow, Nebraska. The couple lived on a farm north east of Winslow until moving to a farm north west of Arlington, Nebraska in 1948. They moved into Arlington in 1966. Raymond died on November 11, 1975. Alice has been residing at Arbor Manor in Fremont, Nebraska since 1991.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington and the Lutheran Womens Missionary League.

Alice passed from this life on Sunday, May 6, 2001 at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont, Nebraska to the age of 92 years, 5 months and 16 days. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Judy Stork of Arlington; and 2 grandchildren, Chad Stork and Laural (Mrs. Jon) Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and 3 brothers, Clayton, Harold and Clarence Brandert.
