Mable Ferris, 79, of Little Sioux, Iowa, died Friday, September 11, 1987, at an Omaha hospital following a brief illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 14, 1987, at United Methodist Church in Little Sioux with the Rev. Leon Wallace and Elder Thomas Carritt officiating.
Burial was in the Little Sioux Cemetery.
Mrs. Ferris, the former Mable Breeling, was born November 30, 1907, at Little Sioux and attended Little Sioux High School.
She married William Edward Ferris on December 21, 1925, at Onawa, Iowa.
He died August 4, 1975, at Onawa.
She was affiliated with the Christian Church.
She was active in the Little Sioux Homecoming and the Senior Citizens functions.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Wilma Jean) Mathison of Little Sioux; a son, Edward Lee Ferris, of Blair; three sisters, Waneita Grandgennett of Little Sioux, Mildred Headley of Omaha, and Mrs. Harris (Norma) Evers of Council Bluffs; four brothers, Roy Breeling of Little Sioux, Vernon Breeling of Elmwood, Nebraska, Harold Breeling of Omaha, and Keith Breeling of Watsecka, Illinois; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
