CHARLOTTE L. STORK, 92

Former Arlington resident Charlotte L. Stork, 92 of Fremont, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske officiated. Interment was at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Arlington.

Charlotte L. Stork was born Dec. 16, 1907 in Evanston, Ind., to Louis and Sophia (Wittmann) Fuchs.

She moved with her family when she was a teen to the Immanuel Lutheran area, east of Winslow, Neb. After her marriage on Aug. 14, 1932 to Edward W. Stork at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the couple farmed east of Telbasta, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Stork then moved to the Arlington area in 1977. Mrs. Stork moved to Fremont in 1996 and had been residing at Arbor Manor in Fremont since January, 1999.

Mrs. Stork was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Marion Stork of Winslow, and Charles “Chuck” and Carolyn Stork of East Dubuque, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Frans Doelman of Lakewood, Wash.; a daughter, Eva Stork of Greenfield, Wis.; a sister, Irma Stork of Arlington; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Eunice Stork; two brothers, Oswald and Rudolph Fuchs; two sisters, Ella Graulich and Dorothy Bloemker; and a grandson, Lee Stork.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.

The funeral for Charlotte I. Stork, 92, of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington.

She died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000 at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Charlotte Fuchs was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Evanston, Ind. She moved with her family when she was a teen to Immanuel Lutheran area, east of Winslow. She married Edward Stork Aug. 14, 1932, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow. They farmed east of Telbasta and then moved to Arlington in 1977. Her spouse died June 18, 1987. She moved to Fremont in January 1996. She moved to Arbor Manor in January 1999.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Survivors include: two sons, LeRoy (and wife, Marion) Stork of Winslow and Charles “Chuck” (and wife, Carolyn) Stork of East Dubuque, Ill.; two daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Frans) Doelman of Lakewood, Wash., and Eva stork of Greenfield, Wis.; a sister, Irma Stork of Arlington; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

The Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate Tuesday’s service. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington and will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Arlington.

A memorial has been established to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
