Norma F. Wolles, 92

Norma F. Wolles, 92, of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Pathfinder Place in Fremont. Norma was born Sept. 25, 1922, in Arlington, to Cortez and Amy (Krejicek) Cook. She grew up near Arlington, graduated from Arlington High School in 1940 and attended Midland College. She taught at a rural school north of Fremont for two years. During WWII she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a telegrapher and agent for six years in Wyoming and Nebraska. Norma married Wendell E. Wolles on Aug. 1, 1947, in Fremont. After her marriage she lived in Grand Island and near Colorado Springs, Colo., where she did dog grooming. After retirement they traveled the United States. They lived near Redmond, Ore., and after her husband’s death she moved to Fremont in the summer of 2008.

She is survived by her son, Jerry L. and his wife, Diane Wolles of Ocean Shores, Wash.; and grandchildren: Erika (Max) Baca of Oregon, Trista Wolles of Vancover, Wash., and Jack (Leigh) Lillibridge of Grand Island; great-grandchildren: Tobias Medina, Sebastian Baca, and Jonah Lillibridge; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wendell; daughter, Carol Ann Wolles; brothers: William, Lawrence and Joe; two infant brothers; and sister, Mabel Scheer.

Graveside service was held 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at Arlington Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Jensen, Chaplain at Fremont Health Medical Center, will officiate.
