EMMA STORK, 94

Emma M. Stork, 94, Hooper, died Wednesday at the Hooper Care Center.

She was born August 12, 1893 in Arlington.

She attended St. Paul’s Parochial School in rural Arlington and lived in Arlington, Fremont and North Bend before moving to Hooper where she has lived for the last 20 years.

Mrs. Stork belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper and Ladies Aid.

Emma M. Laaker married Edward W. C. Stork April 4, 1918 in Arlington.

He died January 25, 1962.

Survivors include one son, Clarence of Omaha; two daughters, Mrs. George (Edith) Sanderson of Roswell, N.M. and LuVerna Panning of Fremont; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Laaker of Arlington, Obert Laaker of Bennington and Leonard Laaker of Blair and one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Carol) Jensen of Blair.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper.

Rev. Kenneth Ernstmeyer officiated. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to the Hooper Care Center.
