GILBERT STORK, 76

Services for Gilbert Stork, 76 of rural Blair who died at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha November 2, 1995 were Monday, November 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Gilbert William Stork was born September 7, 1919 in rural Blair to Gottlieb and Emma Wulf Stork. He attended elementary school at St. Paul Lutheran School at Arlington.

He farmed in the Blair area. He also worked at Blair Manufacturing and Jebco.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

He played baseball for the Blair Semi-Pro Team, which was in the Pioneer Nite League. After his retirement, he sang with the Starlighters.

He married Opal Gottsch in Bennington September 28, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Milo Stork and two sisters, Letha Dickmeyer and Myrtle Hansen.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; four sons, Gordon Stork and Greg Stork of Omaha; Gary Stork of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma; and Gerald Stork, Westminister, Colorado; two daughters, Vanessa Brown, Arlington and Angela Henson, El Dorado, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and one brother, Wilfred Stork, Kingman, Arizona.

Campbell-Aman Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
