IRENE STORK, 82

Irene Stork, 82 of Fremont and most recently of the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998 at the Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.

Services were Jan. 30 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Timothy Gierke and Rev. Art Hill officiated. Burial was in the Ridge Cemetery at Fremont.

Mrs. Stork was born Oct. 2, 1915 in Hamburg, Iowa to Mon and Eva (Marvin) Callahan. She moved to Fremont with her family at the age of 12. On June 1939, she married Gilbert C. Stork in the Immanual Lutheran Church east of Winslow. They farmed west of Herman. In 1963 they moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., where they owned and operated the Ozark Café and the Camper Court. In 1974, they retired and moved back to Fremont.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and was the first secretary/treasurer of the Nebraska Appaloosa Horse Club.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Pearl Stork of Fremont and Wayne and Carol Stork of Apache Junction, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Kirchmann of Pflugerfille, Tex.; Mona and Wes Ringle of Fremont and Doris and pat Osbon of Nebraska City, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in June 1985; a sister, Ruth Johnson and an infant sister, Margie.

Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont, the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner or the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
