MRS. CHRISTIANSEN DIES AT BENNINGTON

Mrs. P.J. Christiansen, wife of Dr. P.J. Christiansen, well known veterinarian at Bennington, died Monday following a long illness. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs. Christiansen is a native of Arlington and a member of a pioneer Washington County family. She was born at Arlington October 15th, 1895. She was the former Hazel Fagg.

She grew to womanhood at Arlington, graduating from Arlington High School. In 1919 she was married in Arlington to Dr. Christiansen. For two years, the couple lived in Fremont, then moved to Bennington, which has been their home continuously throughout their lives.

Mrs. Christiansen is survived by her husband, Dr. P.J. Christiansen of Bennington; a daughter, Mrs. A. Mischke of Northbrook, Ill.; and a son, Lt. Cdr. Charles C. Christiansen, of Adak, Alaska; and her mother, Mrs. Charles Fagg, of Arlington. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Keenan, of Arlington; a brother, Thomas Fagg, of North Platte; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Christiansen is a lont-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bennington, where for 35 years she was a member of the church choirl She is a past president of the Community Women’s Club of Bennington.

Funeral services are being held at St. John’s Lutheran Church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial, under the direction of the Hadan Mortuary, will be made in the Arlington Cemetery.
