Marie Fick

Marie Wilhelmina Logemann Fick, 102, died August 28, 1986, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. She was the daughter of Wilhelm and Sophie Neuhaus Logemann. She was born December 17, 1883, on a farm south of Bennington. She was baptized July 26, 1885, and confirmed April 11, 1897, at Zion Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were held September 1, 1986, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Benson, with Pastor Wayne Mesecher officiating.

Pallbearers were William Logemann, Alvin Logemann, Marion Logemann, Fred Ehlers, Frank Stuart and Jim Pounds.

Burial was in Mount Auburn Cemetery. Kremer Funeral Home of Omaha was in charge of arrangements.

On January 1, 1943, she was united in marriage to Fred Fick, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1970. Her sister, Caroline Mueller, and her brother, August Logemann, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Fick resided in Benson until 1980, where she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for over 40 years. Since 1980 she has been a resident of Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Stepchildren: Earl Fick of Wahoo, Herman Fick of Omaha, and Helen Fick Jenison of Post Falls, Idaho; eight step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Catherine and Bertha Fick of Omaha; three nephews, William and Alvin Logemann of Omaha and Marion Logemann of Omaha and Marion Logemann of Waterloo; two nieces, Sylvia Ehlers of Ft. Calhoun, and Adelyn Stuart of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and 14 great nieces and nephews.
