Blair Man’s Brother Dies In Denver

Services were Friday, April 25, in Ogallala for Francis Kosmicki who died April 22 in Veteran’s Hospital in Denver at the age of 55. Burial was in the Ogallala Cemetery with VFW Post 3744 in charge of Military Honors.

Rev. Philip Ewert of the Berean Fundamental Church officiated at the services which were held at the Draucker Funeral Chapel.

Francis J. Kosmicki was born April 23, 1924, in Ogallala. He attended school there also. On September 28, 1946, he married Marjorie Hudson in Norton, Kansas.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1946 in the Army. The family, moved to Hermiston, Oregon, in 1964. They remained there 14 years and then moved back to Ogallala in 1978. He has been employed at Union 76.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Francis Kosmicki, Jr., of Prosser, Washington; four daughters, Nancy Kosmicki of Hermiston and Voronica, Patricia and Cheryl Kosmicki, all of Ogallala; one brother, Pete Kosmicki of Blair; one granddaughter, Teresa Kosmicki; and two sisters, Mrs. George (Roseann) Rice and Mrs. Dale (Annalea) Fisher of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
