Olga M. Spickler Died At Golden Years Rest Home

Olga M. Spickler, widow of the late Blair businessman D.E. Spickler, died Wednesday at the Golden Years Rest Home in Elkhorn, Nebraska. She was 87 years old, having been born May 4th, 1885. She was a native of Barada, Nebraska. Until recently she had lived at 101 North 23rd street but had retained the home even though living at Golden Years.

Mrs. Spickler and her husband came to Blair about 40 years ago from Falls City, Nebraska.

Throughout her life she was a housewife. She became the mother of one son, Elliott, who succumbed to polio a number of years ago.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elliott (Alice) Spickler, by a grandson, Kirby, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Saturday morning, December 23rd. The services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Bee and burial was made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pallbearers were Earl Kahlandt, Gene Cochran, Pete Des Rosiers, C.N. Robinson, Norman Buchardt and Robert Wulf.
