Marie Spiker

Marie Spiker was born on November 12, 1917 in Herman, Nebraska to Thomas and Dora (Richter) McDonald. She graduated from Herman High School in 1935. On June 2, 1940 she married Chester M. Spiker. To this union two daughters were born. Survivors include daughters Judy Carmichael of Blair, and Nancy Colgan of Herman; grandsons: Tim Kruse, Todd, Troy and Trent Carmichael; five step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Keith McDonald.

Mrs. Spiker died at the Immanuel Hospital on October 18, 1985 after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, at the Country Bible Church in Blair. Burial will be at the Blair Cemetery with Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are her four grandsons: Tim Kruse, Todd Carmichael, Troy Carmichael and Trent Carmichael.
