Gary V. Spracklin, 71

Gary F. Spracklin, of Fort Calhoun, died Dec. 5, 2004, in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in Omaha’s Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Sievers-Sprick.

Gary F. Spracklin was born June 2, 1933, in Omaha to Helen and Saul Spracklin.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Mark Kucera of Omaha; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Corinne Spracklin and Jeff and Jayee Spracklin, both of Fort Calhoun; daughter, Barb Romans of Valley; brothers and sister-in-law, Eugene “Bud” Spracklin of Omaha and Gerald and Kathy Spracklin of Odebolt, Iowa; sisters, Eleanor Wright of Omaha and Betty Priess of Alliance; stepchildren, Melvin Boner of Omaha, Sharon and Jim Osmera of Herman, Lisa and Kevin Turner of Great Bend, Kan., Kevin and Truly Spracklin of Omaha; his second wife, Carolyn A. Spracklin of Great Bend, Kan.; close friend, Billy Courte of Fort Calhoun; 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don Spracklin; sister, Darla Scurlock; wife, Carol L. Spracklin; grandson, Matthew Romans; son-in-law, Dan Romans.
