WILLIAM E. “BILL” STRATBUCKER, 66; 8/24/31 – 6/23/1997

William E. “Bill” Stratbucker, 66, of Fort Calhoun died Monday, June 23, 1997.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sievers Sprick Funeral Home with family present from 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The prayer service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Stratbucker was born Aug. 23, 1931 on a farm near Fort Calhoun to Joseph and Ida (Klassen) Stratbucker. He grew up in Fort Calhoun and was a 1949 graduate of Fort Calhoun High School. On Sept. 17, 1952, he married Marjorie Lamprecht in Elkhorn, Neb. He farmed during his lifetime.

He was a member of Solomon Lodge No. 10 AF & AM; the Fort Calhoun Rural Fire Board; the Fort Calhoun Cemetery Board; and the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are his wife, Marjorie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Larsen and Carol and Brent Wasenius, all of Fremont; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Diana Stratbucker of Fort Calhoun; seven grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Nixon of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.

William E. Stratbuckerf, 65, of Fort Calhoun died Monday, June 23, 1997 in Omaha.

Stratbucker was born Aug. 24, 1931 in Fort Calhoun. He graduated from Fort Calhoun High School in 1949. He married Marjorie Lamprecht Sept. 17, 1952 in Elkhorn. He was a lifetime farmer in the Fort Calhoun area.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun; Fort Calhoun Fire Board; Fort Calhoun Cemetery Board; and the Masonic Lodge. He was a past member of Slader School District board in Washington County and the Washington County Feeders Association.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cheryl (Mrs. Robert) Larsen and Carol (Mrs. Brent) Wasenius, both of Fremont; a son, Larry (and wife, Diana) Stratbucker of Fort Calhoun; a sister, Mildred Nixon of Blair; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church of Fort Calhoun. The Rev. Greg Miller will officiate. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesay at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun, with the family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
