FORMER BLAIR MAN DIES ON THE COAST

John Heinzerling, former Blair man, died Thursday at Santa Clara, California following a period of ill health. He was 44 years old.

Mr. Heinzerling was born at Blair September 20, 1920, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Heinzerling. He graduated from Blair High School with the class of 1938.

In 1940 he joined the United States Navy and remained in the service for 23 years. At the time of his death he had retired from the Navy and was employed by General Dynamics in California. He was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the bombing which triggered World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Clair, and by one son, Jack, who lives at San Mateo, California. Two grandchildren also survive.

Other survivors are Harvey Heinzerling, of Blair, who is a brother; and sisters, Mrs. Marshall Hull (Darene) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and Mrs. Kelmer White (Ruth) of Costa Mest, California.

Burial will be made in Santa Clara, California today, Monday.
