OTTO H. STREHLMAN, 92 (veteran)

Otto H. Strehlman, 92 of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998 at the Hooper Care Center in Hooper.

Services were Monday, Nov. 2, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont with Pastor David Loeschen officiating.

Pallbearers were Harold Johnson, Harlen and David Just, Murriel Hansen, Brad Walter, Frank Winters, Gary Praeuner and Patrick Luedders. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. The Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post 854 and American Legion Post 20 presented the United States flag.

Otto H. Strehlman was born March 13, 1906 in Leslie, Mo., to Fredrick and Martha (Osiek) Strehlman.

He grew up in Missouri and moved to Arlington as a young man. He worked for several farmers in the area.

He served in the U. S. Army during World War II from July 3, 1942 to Oct. 9, 1945.

On April 23, 1945, he married Irene Just in Fremont.

In 1945, he moved to Fremont and was employed at Boschult Construction Co. for several years. Later he was a partner of Joe Osterloh in remodeling homes.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont and the Fremont Coin Club for several years.

He is survived by his wife,. Irene; and one sister, Ida (Mrs. Roscoe) Grob of Florissant, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ella McDonald; two brothers, Ervin and Martin Strehlman; one stepbrother, Clarence Mestemacher and two stepsisters, Mildred and Elaine Deppermann.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
