EARL STRENGER, 92

Earl Strenger, 92 of Fremont, died Saturday, aug. 26, 2000 at Nye Point, formerly the Fremont Care Center, where he had resided for only a few weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Philip Vane and Rev. Donald Levenhagen will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Ludvigsen Mortuary from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, and at the church, one hour before services.

Earl Strenger was born on Sept. 15, 1907 in Telbasta to John and Emma (Hartung) Strenger. He lived and farmed there until he was 26 years of age.

On Sept. 24, 1933, he married Florence Giesselman in Fremont.

Mr. Strenger was a mechanic in Fremont for John Monnich, a former Ford dealer, then was employed by Diers Ford for more than 20 years. He later worked for the Ed Rychner Garage, specializing in front end alignment work.

He had earned his private pilot’s license, and had received many awards for his photography work. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence, in 1991, and also by a sister and brother.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School. Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
