Mrs. Julia Colby, of Crowell Memorial home, who would have been 104 years of age on May 25th, died at the Home Wednesday. She had been born May 25th, 1856.

Mrs. Colby was not only the oldest guest at the Home but had been there longer than any other guest at the Home. She entered the Home December 10, 1930. She has no close living relatives. Funeral services and burial will be at Auburn, Nebraska.

Mrs. Colby’s longevity has often been discussed by Crowell Home officers who recall that when she came in 1930, her physician sent along a note setting forth her physical condition and expressing the belief that she would not live more than six months.
