FORMER BLAIR LADY DIES IN SIOUX CITY

Mrs. Alfred H. Collins of Sioux City, Iowa died suddenly on July 23rd from an apparent heart attack.

Merle Stricklett was born September 30, 1911 at Blair. She was married to Alfred Collins May 5, 1935 at Miltown, South Dakota.

Survivors include her husband; eight sons, Dale, John and Danny all of Sioux City, Lyle of South Sioux City, Louis of San Francisco. Calif., James of South Bend, Ind., The Rev. Ronald of Rockford, Ill., and David of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Joyce Hauman of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Jo Ann Jessup of South Sioux City, and Misses Merle and Donna, both at home.; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Trisdale, Mrs. Elsie Steffen and Miss Bessie Stricklett, all of Blair, and Mrs. Verna Johnson of York, Neb.; two brothers, Guy of Blair, and Ervin of Omaha; her mother, Mrs. Rosie Stricklett of Blair; and 13 grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Jack Becker Funeral Home In South Sioux City. Services were July 27th in South Sioux City. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
