WILLIAM COMPTON DIES IN CALIFORNIA

William Compton, former Blair man, died at his home at Chula Vista, California Thursday evening, July 18th, Blair friends and relatives have learned.

Mr. Compton, 66, had undergone chest surgery a month ago and had not been able to recover satisfactorily. He is survived by his wife, Bernice, and a son, Marshall. A sister is Mrs. John Reeh (Grace) of Blair and Deputy Sheriff Ben Reeh, of Blair is a brother-in-law. There are four grandchildren and on great-grandchild.

Funeral services are being held today (Monday) at Chula Vista with burial in the Chula Vista Cemetery.
