FLOYD J. STRICKLETT DIED HERE LAST SUNDAY, JANUARY 25

Floyd J. Stricklett, a long time resident of the Blair area, died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair last Sunday, January 25th. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Stricklett was born at Pacific Junction, Iowa, July 20th, 1898. He came to Blair at an early age and has lived here since that time. The Stricklett home is at 1104 State Street.

As a young man he was associated with construction work and in more recent years he served as Street Commissioner for the City of Blair. He retired from that post several years ago because of his health.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, and by a son and daughter. The daughter is Mrs. Kenneth Johnson (Norma) of Blair and the son, Floyd Stricklett Jr. of Olympia, Washington. There are eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Marion Stricklett and Ray Gillett are brothers of the deceased man.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Richard P. Davison of the First Christian Church conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Milford Campbell, Claar Millrons, Albert Jensen, John Hineline, D. M. Hannah and Kenneth McIntosh.
