ONE-TIME BLAIR MAN DIED OCT. 22

Lloyd Stricklett, a former resident of Blair, died suddenly October 22 at Racine, Wisconsin. He was 62 years old. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dick Stricklett of Blair, but had left Blair many years ago.

He was born November 27, 1908 at Douglas, Wyoming, but moved to Blair with his parents when a small child. He attended school and grew up here.

In 1954 he invented and patented a shop tool under the name of “New Tools, Inc.” which was distributed nation-wide through the Snap-On Tool Co. The tool was still being manufactured at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, James and Larry Stricklett and three grandchildren, all of Racine. He is survived by five sisters. They are Mrs. Wilber Hall of Wayne, Nebraska; Mrs. Andrew Nielsen of Kennard; Mrs. Nell West and Mrs. William Leptien and Mrs. Harry Tucker, all of Blair.

Burial was made at Racine on October 26th.
