RAYMOND L. STRICKLETT, 63 (veteran)

Services for Raymond L. Stricklett of Waterloo who died January 18, 1993 at his home will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 22 at Country Bible Church in Blair. Rev. Charles Larsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the members of the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1251.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the time of service at the church.

Raymond L. Stricklett was born February 19, 1929 in Blair. He lived in Blair until 1972 when he moved to Waterloo.

He served in the United States Navy. He was an independent over-the-road truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Campbell Stricklett; a son, Blaine; brothers, Oscar, Buck and Pete and two sisters, Ada King and Celia Keifer.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; three sons, Bruce of Brighton, Colorado; Darryl of Waterloo and Randy of Omaha; three daughters, Mary (Mrs. Albert) Zinn; Angela (Mrs. Randy) Kreikemeier; and Grace (Mrs. Mike) Price, all of Fremont; three sisters, Mary Jane Kirk and Margaret Keenan, both of Blair and Phyllis Madsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Donavon Stricklett, Marty Stricklett, Andrew Stricklett, T.J. Stricklett, Anthony Stricklett, Robert Hill, David Lacombe, Mike Zavala, Matthew Zinn, Andrew Zinn and Jeremy Hamke.

Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Amanda Stricklett, Julie Darrough, Bobbie Hill, Jamie Valdez, Antoniette Zavala, Kristen Ward, Ashley Ward, Christian Lacombe and Randy Lacombe.

Mike Price and Dan Dishong will be soloists.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
