Anna A. Otte, 93, of Blair, died May 22, 1998.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2725 N. 60th St., Omaha. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday, 6-8 p.m., at Roeder Mortuary, 2725 N. 108th St., Omaha.

Anna Abelene Nickels was born Feb. 1, 1905, to Henning and Ida Elsabe (Rohwer) Nickels in Bloomfield. She was raised and educated in Bloomfield and moved to Norfolk to work. She later moved to Omaha to work.

On June 11, 1933, she married John J. Otte in Bloomfield. They lived on the Otte family farm west of Omaha where the Otte family was numbered among the pioneer Nebraskans. Mr. Otte died in 1957.

She moved to Blair in 1969.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Glen Ries of Omaha and Alice and Roger Ferguson of Sheridan, Wyo.; a son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Marlene Otte of Fort Calhoun; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Amanda Anders of Niobrara, and one brother, Arnold Nickels of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, and two brothers, Harvey and G.H. Nickels.

Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Roeder Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
