Jerry E. Breemes, 70, of Blair, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Ashland Care Center in Ashland. No services are planned.

Jerry E. Breemes was born May 11, 1939, in Wann, to Frank and Irma (Hall) Breemes.

He was a United States Navy veteran.

Mr. Breemes is survived by his wife Darlene, of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbi Jo and Donnie Laughlin, Ashland; Donna Jean and Scott Jennings, Fort Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Christian, Miranda and Nicole Jennings, Donnie Jr., Sadarah and Savannah, Dyland and Tommie Jane Laughlin; great-grandchildren, Jadah and Vanity Scott; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack Breemes of Ashland, and Paul and Meryl Ann Breemes of Marietta, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Donnaetta and Jack Campbell of Ashland; sister-in-law, Jan Breemes of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Richard; sister-in-law, Chirile Breemes; grand-niece Kelsey Breemes.

Memorials are suggested to the Don McBeth Memorial Foundation (to help disabled jockeys.) A memorial blanket race will also be held in his honor at a later date.
