W.W. Anderson Dies In Wyoming

William Wallace Anderson, 74, one-time farmer in Washington County and recently a Powell, Wyoming, area rancher and former member of the Wyoming Legislature, died of cancer at 3:04 a.m. Tuesday in a Billings, Montana hospital. He had been a patient since January 13.

Mr. Anderson was born November 3, 1887, in Blair, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska, where he studied agriculture. He farmed north of Blair on the bottom.

He married Anna Larson September 15, 1912, in Herman, Nebraska. They went to the Powell area in 1916. Mr. Anderson served in the Wyoming Legislature from 19443 to 1955 as representative from Park County.

Mr. Anderson was deputy Park County assessor for many years prior to illness in 1961.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Powell, Absarokee Lodge 30, AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies in Sherican, Wyo., and Kalif Shrine Temple in Sheridan, Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Surviving Mr. Anderson, besides his widow, are two daughters, Louise E. Anderson of San Francisco and Mrs. Eleanor J. Hexamer of Dallas, Texas; his sister, Mrs. J.C. Reynolds of Powell, and two grandchildren.
