Anna Sprenkle, 96

Anna Sprenkle, 96, of Blair, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Anna Valder was born Dec. 22, 1912, in rural Tekamah to Frank and Lillian (Fuller) Valder. She moved to New York at the age of 14, and, in 1945, moved to Omaha. She later moved to the Tekamah area and in 1995 moved to Blair to be with her daughter.

She married Lawrence Sprenkle in Omaha.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Arthur Brice of Blair, Alice and Raymond Tranmer of Tekamah, Lillian Reisen of Muscatine, Iowa; foster son, Len Williams, Washington; daughters-in-law, Delores Fisher, Quentin, Okla., Yvonne Fisher, San Bernardino, Calif., and Helen Norris, of Omaha; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; seven children, Evelyn, Richard, Malcom, Shirley, Jerry, Jay and Larry; two brothers, Vern and Willis Valder; two infant sisters and two sisters, Della Filtro and Esther Brisby.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
