Paul Sprick, 87

Services for Paul Sprick, 87 of Fremont who died August 10, 1993 at Merrick Manor in Fremont were Friday, August 13, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont. Rev. W. Jerry Heydenberk officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Paul Sprick was born June 4, 1906 on the family farm near Herman to Paul and Minnie Meierhenry Sprick. He grew up on the farm.

He married Helen Wolff at Telbasta March 26, 1930. They farmed his family farm near Herman until retiring in 1971.

In 1972, they moved into Fremont.

He had been a member of the school board of District 34 in Washington County for a number of years.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Golden “K” Kiwanis Club.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Larry of Storm Lake, Iowa; a daughter, Janice Huckleberry of Tempe, Arizona and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.

The funeral for Paul C. Sprick, 87, 1524 Mayfair Ave. will be 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont.

Sprick died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1993, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

He was born June 4, 1906, on the family farm near Herman, where he grew up. He farmed there until retiring in 1971 and moved to Fremont in 1972.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont, a former member of District 34 school board in Washington County for several years, and a former member of Golden K Kiwanis Club.

He married Helen Wolff March 26, 1930, at Telbasta. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Larry of Storm Lake, Iowa; a daughter, Janice Huckelberry of Tempe, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

The Rev. Jerry Heydenberk will officiate Friday’s service. Visitation will be 1 to 9 today and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, both at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the church.
