Sgt. Bill Harrison Missing In Action

Word has been received by Blair friends that S/Sgt. George William Harrison, better known as Bill Harrison, is reported to be missing in action over Hungary, March 2nd. He had been stationed with the Army Air Corps in Italy.

S/Sgt. Harrison is quite well known around Blair, having been a resident here and a graduate of the Blair High School.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Harrison, passed away during the flu epidemic of 1918, and he was reared to manhood by his grandmother, Mrs. William Harrison, and his aunt, Miss Ada Harrison. The Harrisons were residents of the McCarthy community until 1938, when they moved to Oakland, California.

Blair relatives were happy to learn, recently, that S/Sgt. Bill Harrison, who was reported missing in action some time ago, was able to bail out of his plane and get back safely to his base somewhere in Italy.
