Services for Ruth Conety, age 86 were Saturday, January 9 at the Herman Methodist Church. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Ruth Conety was born January 12, 1906 in Herman to James and Emma Lowe. She attended school in Herman and lived in the Orum, New England and Herman areas prior to moving to Blair. She had been a resident of the Good Shepherd Home since 1989.

She was a member of the Herman Legion Auxiliary.

On February 23, 1929 she married Wilbur Thomas Conety.

Survivors include her two sons, Wilbur of Blair and Brian of Herman; four grandchildren, Jim Kellogg, Vicky Kellogg, John Conety, Jennifer Conety; two great-grandchildren, Nickolas Kellogg and Megan Conety; a sister, Arwelda Uehling, Nebraska and a brother Paul Lowe of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
