Joseph F. Brown, Jr., 85, of Bellevue, died Sunday, May 2, 2010.

A memorial service will be held at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary in Papillion on Thursday, May 6, at 11 a.m.

Joseph F. Brown Jr was born Oct. 31, 1924, to Joseph F. Brown Sr. and Reahona Brown.

Mr. Brown proudly served in the Navy Air Corps as a pilot from his 18th birthday until 1954.

He married Mary L. Pickell in 1944 and they had three children.

He was employed by the Ball Corporation for 50 years and last carried the title of Kraft Foods national account sales manager. While employed by Ball, he was honored for his work and his picture hung in the corporate headquarters as “Employee of the Year” for 1984.

Upon retiring in 1989, the couple moved to Georgetown, Texas. They were members of the Methodist Church and the Georgetown Country Club for 20 years.

In 2009, the Browns moved to Bellevue to be near their eldest son, David.

He is survived by his children, daughter Carolyn; and two sons, James J. and David; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
