WM. KRAMBECK DEAD

William Krambeck died at his home in Calhoun, Tuesday morning, June 27, after an illness which extended over a period of ten years, chronic nephrtis, being given as the cause of his death.

Mr. Krambeck was born in Grahic, Germany, March 22, 1853, being 63 years, 3 months, and 5 days old at the time of his death. He came to America in 1872, locating in Omaha. On October 11, 1882 he was united in marriage to Anna Slopkuhl in that city. Of two children, Arthur, of this place, survives him. The other, Minnie, wife of Emil Tietjen, of Sholes, preceded him in death a year ago last April. His wife who so faithfully attended him during his illness of suffering, also survives him.

Mr. Krambeck engaged in dairy business in Florence for several years then purchased the farm south of Calhoun, where he lived for 25 years, moving about nine years ago to Calhoun. Up to the first symptoms of illness ten years ago Mr. Krambeck was a man of exceptionally strong physique, and a hard worker. Seven years ago he was compelled to give up active labor and for the past three years was unable to leave the house, although not bed-fast continually until the last four months of his life.

The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Woodmen of the World Lodge, of which the deceased was a member, had charge of the services at the grave. Interment was made in the Calhoun cemetery.-----The Chronicle.
