Chris Krause, 70

Services for Chris Krause, 70, of Fremont and formerly of Valley, were held Tuesday, March 19, 1996, Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn. Rev. Robert Smith officiated. Krause died Friday, March 15, at Alegent Health Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Chris Krause was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Cedar Bluffs and was a graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944-1946 and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He married Carol Rasmussen Feb. 12, 1947. In 1963 they moved to Valley where they operated a poultry farm and in 1967, he joined the New York Life Insurance Company. He retired in 1987.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rodney of Arlington; eight daughters, Judy Boardman of Norfolk, Susan Miller and Cecilia Walker, both of Fremont, Patricia Ocander of Cedar Bluffs, Marilynn Finlay of Waterloo, Kathleen Renter of Pilger, Teresa Skinner and Christine Petersen, both of Valley; two brothers, Joseph Krause of Lincoln and Dr. Jerry Krause of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Chrystal Rabbass of Bellevue and Bonnie Paulin of Fremont; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
