CLYDE C. COOK, 82, DIED FRIDAY AT ARLINGTON

Clyde C. Cooke, 82-year-old Arlington man, died Friday morning following a brief illness. A life-long resident of Arlington, he was well known to almost everyone in the area.

He was born in Iowa, September 10, 1883, but moved to Arlington with his parents as an infant and lived his entire life in Arlington.

For a number of years he was in the oil business but retired from that some time ago. He has found an active interest in many civic affairs including the Washington County Fair and the city administration. He has served as Town Clerk for many years.

He was a 50-year member of Hiram Lodge No. 52, A.F. & A.M. at Arlington.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; by a son, Eugene of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; and by a brother, E. Lloyd Cook of Omaha. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for this (Monday) morning, June 20th at 10 A.M. at the Reckmeyer Funeral Chapel in Arlington. The Rev. Leo B. Zielig is conducting the service. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Pall bearers are Vernon Marshall, Richard Melvard, Edward Monroe, Dr. Jack Cady, Leonard Thompson and Luther Monke.
