#1 BRUCE E. BRYANT, 46

Bruce E. Bryant, 46, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 26, at the First United Methodist Church.

Bruce E. Bryant was born on Oct. 5, 1963, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to John and Karen (Smith) Bryant.

He graduated from St. Albert High School in Council Bluffs in 1983. He was a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard. He received an associate’s degree from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colo.

On May 27, 1989, he married Joan Garcia in Council Bluffs. They lived in Omaha, Council Bluffs and rural Blair for the last 15 years.

Mr. Bryant worked as a welder for 17 years at Lozier’s, a manufacturer of shelving units in Omaha.

He enjoyed working on his Volkswagen Corrado, 4th of July fireworks, bicycling, and being Dad to Jonathan and Chelsea.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair, where he was active in the Sunday School department serving as chairman and helping with vacation Bible School.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Jonathan, daughter, Chelsea; parents, John and Karen Bryant of Council Bluffs; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda and Karl Jacoby of Council Bluffs, Brenda and Kirk Carlson of Olathe, Kan., and Becky and Cannon Koo of Chicago, Ill.; father- and mother-in-law, Sam and Carol Garcia of Underwood, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Debbie Garcia of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law and fiance, Victoria Garcia and Rodney Larson of Council Bluffs.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
